Roger Campbell
Roger Campbell was appointed Director of the Office of Tribal Government Relations by Governor Mike Rounds in April 2003. The Office of Tribal Government Relations is a division of the Department of Tourism and State Development. Prior to coming to work for the state, Roger was Executive Director of the Oglala Sioux Tribe Partnership for Housing, Inc. in Pine Ridge from 1999 to 2003. From 1994 to 1999 he worked at Norwest Banks South Dakota in Rapid City as a Personal Banker.
Roger received his Bachelor of Science degree from South Dakota State University, Brookings, SD, in 1993. Prior to achieving his degree he served in the United States Marine Corps from 1986 to 1990. He graduated from high school in 1984 from Todd County High School in Mission, SD.
Roger was raised on the Rosebud Indian Reservation and is a member of the Pomo Tribe of the Round Valley Indian Reservation in Covelo, CA. Roger and his wife Corrie Ann married in 2006 at which time he was joined by Corrie Ann in Pierre where they are currently raising their five children whose ages are 13, 11, 10, 9 and 1. |
